Charlotte Bronte was born 198 years ago today.
Jayne Eyre is one of my favourite books.

The Bronte sisters at Haworth
Tony, I first read Jane Eyre when I was 7. Read it aloud to my mother in the kitchen over the summer before third grade. Have read it many times since. Love it! Visiting Haworth was such fun. I couldn't believe how tiny the Bronte sisters' clothes and shoes were -- they would have fit me when I was a child!
ReplyDeleteJean. Haworth is a lovely place surround by the moors. The parsonage, where the Brontes lived, is definitely worth a visit.
